Arkansas Car Stereo “Crank It Up” Rules

  1. All metering will be done using Term-Lab SPL meter. We will be using the Term Lab suction cups on the Mic to position the mic on the front windshield.
  2. Hearing protection will be required for anyone in the vehicle during testing. Hearing protection will be available or you can use your own.
  3. Entry fee for each event will be $ 25.00 per entry. With this entry you will receive (2) 30 second runs, of which the highest of the two will be your score.  Re-runs will be available, time permitting, for an additional fee of $ 5.00 per run.
  4. If there is a tie, there will be a runoff between the two competitors. The one with the highest score will be declared the winner.
  5. Only commercially available CD’s are permitted to be used in this event. No burnt CD’s or MP3 players are permitted. An SPL disc will be available for any competitor to use free of charge.

  1. Any person(s) deemed as a pro will be required to compete in the following two classes. (Pro is deemed as any person working for a car stereo outlet such as a retail shop (Arkansas Car Stereo, Music Mart etc.), including Mobile Toys,
    Best Buy (must work in car stereo department), or other stores that sell and install car stereo equipment, or person who has been given equipment at a substantial discount or free)

  1. All competitors will be verified by a judge before metering their car. Any questions on class placement or anything else that may occur will be handled by the head judge at the show.
  2. The main objective of this show is to have fun and see what your car can do. It is our objective for everyone to have a wonderful time and hopefully win some prizes.
  3. There will be cash prizes awarded for first place in each class. Second and third place competitors will be awarded prizes such as gift certificates, t shirts etc. (cash prizes will be determined by number of entries).
  4. Judging will begin at 12:00 noon Saturday Oct. 2nd, and continue til 4:00 pm or last vehicle is thru the judging line. (If
    initial judging does not finish til after 4:00 pm there will not be any reruns).
